BOONE, N.C. - Competing at Appalachian State Saturday morning, GSU’s cross country team finished seventh in the Mountain to Sea Duals.

Morgan Laushey was Georgia State’s top finisher with a 5k time of 19:02, good for 34th overall in a field that included runners from App State, UNC, UNCW, Troy, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston and Western Carolina.

Lotte Meyberg finished just seconds after Laushey with a time of 19:05. Lindsay Shealy ran the course in 19:41 and freshman Alaina Tomlinson finished in 19:55. Jordan Townsley and Molly Morris rounded out the group with times of 21:04 and 21:55, respectively.

Georgia State will return to the Kennedy Trails for the Sun Belt Championships on Oct. 28.

Next up for the Panthers is Jacksonville State’s Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Ala. on Sept. 30.
