TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Georgia State's cross country team wrapped up their 2017 season Friday morning at the NCAA South Regional in Tuscaloosa.

Lotte Meyberg was Georgia State's top finisher, running the 6K in 21:27 to place 67th out of 228 competitors. As a team, Georgia State finished 21st out of 40 schools present.

Sophomore Angela Alonso joined Meyberg in the top-100, finishing the race in 21:49. Lindsay Shealy, Morgan Laushey, Melanie Hamilt, Alaina Tomlinson and Jordan Townsley rounded out the field for the Panthers, all finishing in under 25 minutes.

For Meyberg, her first season with cross country was impressive as she earned All-Sun Belt honors and was GSU's top finisher for most of the season.

The Panthers will return each of their top three finishers Friday next season.
