Tom Loughrey joined Georgia State in the fall of 2017 as a Facilities/Operations Graduate Assistant and began full-time with GSU in the spring of 2019.
Loughrey was with the Intercollegiate Tennis Associate from 2013-2016 prior to coming to Georgia State, serving as as Media and Rankings Manager for two years and as a Rankings and Championship Manager for one year. Before his stint at the ITA, Loughrey worked at his alma mater SUNY Oswego for two years as the Assistant SID and Assistant Men's Tennis Coach.
Prior to returning to SUNY Oswego, Loughrey worked with Bleacher Report for nearly two years before working as an Assistant SID at SUNY Brockport in 2011.
A 2011 graduate from SUNY Oswego, he pursued an undergraduate degree in journalism with an athletic coaching minor. Loughrey was a student-athlete while at SUNY Oswego, serving as the team captain from 2009-2011.
A native of Fulton, N.Y., Loughrey earned his master's degree in Sport Administration from Georgia State in December 2018.
