ATLANTA – Madi Card and Monique Hundley of Georgia State women’s soccer were named to the 2018 All-Sun Belt Second-Team, the league announced on Tuesday. The two became the first Panthers to be selected to an all-conference team since the 2015 season.

Hundley, GSU team captain and Preseason All-Sun Belt honoree, has been an integral part of the Panthers’ success this season. She netted a career-high two goals on her own Senior Night to lead the blue and white past Coastal Carolina 4-0, guiding the Panthers to four consecutive conference wins for the first time in 15 years.

Hundley ended the regular season with seven total points, notching two goals and adding three assists. Her two goals in a single match are tied for the second most among all Sun Belt players this year.

Joining the Panthers after three seasons at Butler, Card proved to be one of the most reliable players between the posts in the Sun Belt this year. She finished with an undefeated 5-0-1 record in conference play and capped the regular season with a .809 save percentage, one of the highest marks in the league.

Card picked up Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 16 after earning back-to-back shutouts against two of the league’s top teams in Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina. She has recorded five or more saves in five different matches this year.

Together, the duo helped Georgia State end the regular season on a 5-0-1 unbeaten streak and earn its first postseason appearance since 2015.

GSU opens the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament 8 p.m. ET Wednesday against Coastal Carolina. Fans can watch the match live on ESPN+ or follow along via live stats at
