ATLANTA --For the second time in four weeks, Jada Lewis has been named the Georgia state Student-Athlete of the Week. Lewis led Georgia State to a pair of wins at home Thursday and Saturday in Atlanta. Lewis averaged a team-high 13.5 points and 5.0 assists over the two games. On Saturday, Lewis totaled 18 points with six assists to beat Louisiana 74-71. Lewis hit five key free throws in the final minute to seal the victory. In Thursdays victory she scored nine points with four assists in a 22-point win over ULM. The guard committed just one turnover in 68 minutes this week.

Lewis leads the Panthers in points per game (15.0), three-point baskets (43), assists (59, and steals (38). Lewis is first in the Sun Belt with 36.5 minutes per game, and also ranks in the top six in the conference in points per game, assists, and free throw percentage (80%). 

Lewis' strong play has propelled the Panthers to six wins in their last eight contests. GSU sits in fourth place in the Sun Belt with a 7-4 conference record. Lewis and the Panthers will look to keep the wins rolling as they are on the road for matchups with Troy and South Alabama this weekend.
