Georgia State's CHAMPS LifeSkills Program has teammed with the After-School All-Stars again this summer to provide educational camps for Atlanta youth.
The All-Stars program, founded through the GSU Department of Kinesiology and Health, has a goal to develop children to their fullest potential, where they are critical thinkers, effective communicators, responsible citizens, technologically competitive and active life-long learners better prepared for academic success.
The progam gives students more opportunities for personal growth, peer relations and emotional adjustment.
This summer, the Panthers student-athletes from the soccer teams, the basketball teams and the softball team have hosted an afternoon to teach and talk with the all-stars.
Athletics also works with the program year-round to enhance the learning environment for all.
