Overview: Returning from an injury, Bowling played for two seasons at in-state rival Mercer before joining Georgia State’s staff.

2005: With Georgia State, finished the season with a 3-1 record and two saves, while posting an ERA of 6.34...Earned his first win as a Panther in similar manner to his first collegiate win by allowing one unearned run in three innings of relief against Florida A&M (2/26)...Was second on the team with 32.2 relief innings, and struck out 24 batters while walking only 11...Earned the win against Tennessee Tech by pitching 1.2 innings of scoreless relief (3/15)...Came away with his third victory of the season by pitching a scoreless inning of relief, combining for a 1-0 shutout at Samford (4/27).
