Twenty four talented seniors will kick off Final Four weekend in Atlanta in The 19th Annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & Three Point Championships.
This annual event, held at the Georgia State Sports Arena at 7 p.m. on March 29, features the country's best dunkers and three-point shooters competing in a series of events, including the Vegas.com Men's Slam Dunk Championship, the Midas Touch Men's 3-Point Shooting Championship, the State Farm Women's 3-Point Shooting Championship and the Taco Bell Battle of Champions (3-Point Shooting).
Facing off in the Vegas.com Men's Slam Dunk Championship are Notre Dame's Russell Carter, Long Beach State's Louis Darby, Rutgers' Adrian Hill, Chicago State's Royce Parran, Georgia native Brent Petway of Michigan, Texas A&M's Marlon Pompey, Weber State's David Patten and Georgia Tech's Mario West.
The panel of judges for the dunk competition includes new Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Joe Horn, Atlanta Hawks forward and 2005 NBA Slam Dunk Champion Josh Smith, former Atlanta Hawks guard and 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Champion Spud Webb, Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Takeo Spikes.
Headlining the talented field in the Midas Touch Men's 3-Point Shooting Championship are All-American Acie Law of Texas A&M and Stephen Sir of Northern Arizona, who ranks first in the nation in 3-point field goals made per game (4.1) and third in 3-point field goal percentage (.490). Rounding out the field are Aaron Brooks (Oregon), Colin Falls (Notre Dame), Adam Haluska (Iowa), Jarrius Jackson (Texas Tech), Demetris Nichols (Syracuse) and Kammron Taylor (Wisconsin).
Confirmed participants in the State Farm Women's 3-Point Shooting Championship include: Cori Chambers (Georgia), Ashley Davis (TCU), Dee Davis and Caroline Williams (Vanderbilt), Lyndsey Medders (Iowa State), Eshaya Murphy (USC) and Noelle Quinn (UCLA). The winner of the women's competition will face off against the winner of the men's contest in The Taco Bell Battle of Champions.
The 19th annual ESPN College Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championships will be held at the Georgia State Sports Arena on Thursday, March 29. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Due to all seats being general admission doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The exciting event leading up to the Final Four brings in top college stars to compete in the two events on ESPN-TV. The show will air on ESPN that night and again on Saturday, March 31.
All seating is General Admission, so the night of the event is first-come, first-serve for the best seats. Tickets can be purchased in advance, as it will likely be a sold out event, by purchasing them here online in the Ticket Bar above. Close to 1,000 tickets have already been sold. Tickets are being sold at the Georgia State Ticket Office on the first floor of the Sports Arena from Noon-2 p.m. Monday-Friday until sold out. Payment for tickets purchased at this Ticket Booth are CASH ONLY.
Ticket prices are $10 for Adults and $6 for youth age 12 and under. Georgia State students can purchase tickets for $6, but MUST present a valid Georgia State Panther Card ID on the night of the event to get in the door with the ticket.
