ATLANTA — The Georgia State softball team has added a doubleheader against Eastern Illinois for this Thursday, March 7 at the Robert E. Heck Softball Complex, head coach Roger Kincaid announced Tuesday.

The first game is set to begin at 3:00 p.m., with the second game to follow at 5:00 p.m. The Panthers (12-8) needed to add contests to the schedule after having several games rained out during tournaments earlier in the season.

GSU has played Eastern Illinois (4-4), also the Panthers, five times and has won three of those match-ups.

The two teams last played in 2012 at the Panther Invitational. Georgia State won that game by a score of 7-0.

The doubleheader will follow the regularly scheduled single game against another Ohio Valley Conference team, Jacksonville State, on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
