The Panthers’ Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has announced its new officers for 2012-2013.

SAAC gives the 350 student-athletes an opportunity to interact with each other and bring suggestions on how to improve the life of a student-athlete. Areas such as career development, community service and team enhancement are all supported by SAAC.

The Committee also aims to enhance the values and skills supported by the NCAA Life Skills Program such as leadership and promotion of diversity.

SAAC reports and meets with the Athletics Senior Cabinet monthly to discuss plans and concerns.

Kelsey Spinks, a senior cross country runner from Stockbridge, Ga., will serve her second year as the SAAC president.

Volleyball player Andrea Ezell, a sophomore from Largo, Fl., takes over the vice president role. Football offensive lineman Michael Davis is the new treasurer for the 2012-13 season, while Cross country runner Katie Papesh, a junior from Dublin, Ohio, is SAAC’s new secretary.
