As the Georgia State men's basketball team prepares to take on Duke in historic Cameron Indoor Stadium in the season opener on Nov. 9, we countdown to opening night.
We are just six days until tip-off and today we feature redshirt-sophomore forward Curtis Washington.
The men's basketball team will open at home after two road games on Nov. 19, hosting the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic and facing Monmouth.

Q: Why did you come to GSU?
A: I chose GSU because I wanted to come closer to my family and grandfather who lives one hour away

A: My role model would definitely have to be, number one, God, then right after that my father.
Q: What is your favorite thing about GSU basketball?
A: My favorite thing about GSU basketball is just the family and the supports that we have here. You can always feel like you are at home. They make you feel real comfortable right when come in and I know I can always count on my brothers here to back me up
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat on campus?
A: Well I don't know if this is on campus but I love McDonalds. I know that's bad because I'm an athlete but I love it
Q: What is currently in your refrigerator?
A: In my refrigerator right now there are about twenty packs of those old school kool-aid boxes and then lunchables, straight pizza lunchables

A: Favorite snack would have to be skittles. I love skittles. I eat them before a game, eat them all the time
Q: What's your favorite part about road trips?
A: Favorite part of road trips is probably the bus and plane rides. It's just fun. We all get together and goof around and then on the way to the game we get ready. It's just a real family feeling.

A: My favorite song is Chewy Remix by Wiz Khalifa

A: Definitely has to be Wiz Khalifa repping that Taylor Gang

A: The top three songs on my iPod, well that Cabin Fever 2 just came out so Chewy Remix. That's a hard question to be put on the spot because I don't even know

A: My favorite toy growing up, I've always been in love with my Xbox. It goes everywhere I go. I'm always on Call of Duty

A: Funniest player on the team has got to be Dave. He's a goofball. Always has so much energy
