Junior Melissa Siviter and freshman Julie Lied tied for 77th place after both shot a total of 240. Siviter made an eagle on a par five to shoot an 80 in the third round. Lied had four birdies in her last six shots in the second round yesterday before firing off an 80 in the third round.

Sophomore Lauren Court shot a three-round total of 249 (83-81-85).

"Today was a tough day to play with strong winds and cool temperatures," coach Cathy Mant said. "The girls are hitting lots of good shots, just not scoring. Maria and Laura had a good tournament. We are shooting some big numbers on holes, and once we figure out how to stop that, we will be better. I thought we would have an awesome day today, but we didn't. Hopefully we will see the results we want to see next semester in the spring schedule."

No. 35 Campbell won the tournament by 21-stroke margin, finishing the tournament two-over par. Campbell's Maria Jose Benavides took the overall top spot with a three-under par total. East Tennesse State took the second place spot, while Coastal Carolina finished in third place.

The Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate was the final tournament of the fall semester for the women's golf team. The Panthers will kickoff the spring season on February 10, 2013, athe UCF Challenge in Sorrento, Fla.
