ATLANTA--Georgia State women's tennis junior Abigail Tere-Apisah and sophomore Masa Grgan earned the No. 19 ranking, the highest in school history, in the ITA Women's Doubles Rankings released on Thursday.

The doubles ranking is the first for GSU since 2010 when Tere-Apisah and senior Maryna Kozachenko were No. 44 in the final ITA doubles rankings. Tere-Apisah was also ranked No. 29 in the ITA Women's Singles Rankings and the Georgia State women's tennis team begins its season ranked No. 70 in the team rankings.

GSU enters its season opener while holding a national ranking for the second-consecutive season. The Panthers, led by sixth-year head coach Miha Lisac, are set to square off against 12 nationally-ranked opponents this season.

The Georgia State women's tennis team opens its season on Jan. 19 vs. 72-ranked Syracuse. Visit the women's tennis page on GeorgiaStateSports.com for updates throughout the offseason leading up to the team's spring opener in January.
