The Georgia State women's soccer team has announced its spring schedule, which features eight matches with southeast regional teams.


The Panthers kickoff their spring schedule with a pair of matches at the University of South Carolina. The Panthers will take on the Gamecocks a noon, followed by a match with the College of Charleston at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23. 


Georgia State will then return home for a March 2nd duel with Mississippi State at 11 a.m. On April 9, the Panthers will make a short drive to Conyers, Ga., to battle the University of Georgia. The interstate clash will take place at the RYSA Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.


Five days later, on April 14, the Panthers will host four matches at the GSU Soccer Complex. At noon, Georgia State will take on University of North Carolina-Asheville. At 1:15 Furman will play against Kennesaw State. At 2:30 Georgia State will battle with Furman, followed by Kennesaw State and University of North Carolina-Asheville at 3:45 p.m.


To round out its spring schedule, Georgia State will play a pair of matches at Mercer University on April 21. At noon, the Panthers will play host Mercer, followed by a match with Kennessaw State at 3:15.


Coach Derek Leader is in his first season as the head coach of the women's soccer team. In the fall, his team went 4-11-2.
