Fall 2012: Went 9-3 overall in singles play and 5-2 in doubles play ... Competed in the USTA/ITA Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in Flushing, N.Y. in November, the first men's tennis student-athlete in GSU history to do so ... Earned a bid after advancing to the singles championship at the ITA Regional Championships ... Defeated two nationally-ranked opponents during the tournament in No. 84-ranked Michael Alford of Florida (6-3, 6-1) and No. 30-ranked Juan Spir of Georgia Tech (7-6(3), 6-4) ... Spring 2011: Recorded a 20-5 mark in singles, while being named All-CAA First Team in singles and Third Team in doubles...He played No. 1 and No. 2 singles earning a 10-4 record at No. 1 and 10-1 at No. 2 singles...Finished the season 4-1 against conference opponents for the second straight season with his only loss coming against All-CAA First Team member Kinshuk Sharma, 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 5-7 in the semifinals of the CAA Championship...He won five-straight matches at No. 1 singles to end the regular season...He defeated three All-CAA players in VCU's Max Wennakoski, Delaware's Courtney Scott and UNC Wilmington's Michael Pereira...Partnered with Breon Badger, Juan Pablo Gutierrez and Thomas Cook to earn a 14-11 record in doubles...Valente and Cook were named to the All-CAA Third Team in doubles...Valente and Cook won eight straight matches from Feb. 12-28 and were named CAA Doubles Team of the Week...They lost a tight match to No. 8 Juan Spir and Kevin King from Georgia Tech, 8-6, on Feb. 9.

Played doubles with Breon Badger, Vincent Verpeaux, and Thomas Cook. Partnered with Verpeaux and defeated Matthew Langley/Elliot Barnwell (MTSU), 8-5 at the GT Invitational ...Defeated Harry Menzies (USC), 6-2, 6-0 and Jaroslav Horvath (ECU) at the UNCW Collegiate Tennis Invitational.

Spring 2010: Finished the spring season with a 15-6 record in singles, while earning All-CAA Second Team in singles...Went 9-3 at No. 2 singles and 6-3 at No. 1 singles taking on the other team's top players...Was named CAA co-Player of the Week on March 17th, when he went 2-0 at No. 2 singles, defeating Florida A&M's Mare Atkinson, 6-3, 6-1, and previously unbeaten Rok Bizjak of Clemson, 7-5, 5-7, 1-0...Also finished the season strong with an 8-2 singles record in his last ten matches...Five of his six losses were in three sets showing how difficult he was to be defeated...Had a seven-match winning streak from 3/16-4/17, where he won six of the seven matches in straight-sets...Had the second highest win total as a freshman (15), since Nejc Podkrajsek (16), in 2006...Finished the season 4-1 against conference opponents losing only to All-CAA Sebastien Vidal from William & Mary in a three-set thriller, 4-6, 6-3, 2-6...Posted a 12-7 overall doubles record partnering with Calvin Kemp (1-1), Lucas Santana (2-1), and Henri Mangin (9-5)...Went on a five-match winning streak with Mangin from 3/8-3/28 and played most of his doubles matches at No. 2 doubles...Made the Dean's List by earning a Grade Point Average of 3.5 or above.

Prep: Victor Valente comes to Georgia State from Brazil, to give the Panthers three players from the country along with sophomore Lucas Thomaz, and fellow freshman Lucas Santana. Valente has been mentioned as one of the top players in his native country of Brazil.  His most recent result was a tight 7-6, 6-3 defeat to Daniel Danilovic who has been ranked as high as #481 in the ATP world rankings.
