Georgia State receivers Darren McCray and Albert Wilson have been named to the College Football Performance Awards FCS Preseason Watch List for Kickoff Returners.

McCray, a sophomore from Columbus, Ga., and Wilson, a sophomore from Port St. Lucie, Fla., each returned a kickoff for a touchdown during Georgia State's inaugural season.

McCray became the first Panther to accomplish the feat with his 96-yard return on the opening kickoff against Campbell, on which Wilson provided key blocking.

Wilson put an exclamation point on the GSU's inaugural season with his 97-yard touchdown return before more than 100,000 fans at Alabama.

For the season, Wilson averaged 28.1 yards on 22 kickoff returns, while McCray averaged 27.0 yards on 10 returns.

Wilson led the Panthers in all-purpose yards with 93.2 per game and was the team's third-leading receiver with 19 catches for 294 yards and two touchdowns.

In addition to his touchdown return against Campbell, McCray scored another dramatic touchdown on a 41-yard reverse play against Jacksonville State. He added two catches for 28 yards.

Georgia State opens the 2011 season by hosting Clark Atlanta on Friday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Georgia Dome. Season tickets are on sale now - call 866-GA-STATE.
