ATLANTA-Georgia State Athletics has announced later kickoff times for three of its four remaining home football games in order to enhance the game day experience for GSU students and fans.
The Panthers' next home game is Oct. 8 against Murray State at the Georgia Dome. That contest will now kick off at 2 p.m., as will the Nov. 5 game versus St. Francis and the Nov. 19 season finale against Campbell.
Georgia State's Oct. 22 Homecoming contest against South Alabama will kick off at 3 p.m., as originally announced.
The GSU athletics administration has partnered with student leadership to allow more opportunities for tailgating and pregame activities while still maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere for all GSU fans. Georgia State Athletics will offer additional promotions and giveaways, including t-shirts, thundersticks, car flags, ear buds and other items.
"The Georgia Dome is a wonderful home for us, and these adjustments will create more energy and excitement for our season ticketholders and students," said Director of Athletics Cheryl L. Levick. "Our fans love Georgia State football; this is their team, and we want to do everything we can to give them the best possible game day experience."
For Georgia State's next home game on Oct. 8 against Murray State, the Panthers are asking fans to participate in a "White Out." The team will wear its white jerseys, and all fans are asked to dress in white. Free white t-shirts will be distributed to the first 5,000 fans through the gates.
