ATLANTA--After earning its highest ranking in school history, the Georgia State women's tennis team made history for a second-straight week by earning a No. 38 ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Women's Division I Team rankings released on Wednesday.

Georgia State (4-1) didn't play a match last week as its scheduled match on Sunday at Winthrop was canceled due to inclement weather. The Panthers travel to UNC Wilmington on Saturday for a 11 a.m. match. It will be GSU's second Colonial Athletic Association match of the year.

The Panthers, led by fifth-year head coach Miha Lisac have faced three ranked opponents this season and are 2-1 in those matches. GSU defeated No. 62 Wake Forest 4-3 on Jan. 22 and notched a 4-2 win vs. No. 43 William & Mary on Jan. 28.

As it stands now, Georgia State has five ranked opponent remaining on its schedule. The Panthers will square off against two of them in No. 43 Sacramento State on Feb. 27 and No. 66 UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 29 over Georgia State University's spring break.
