ATLANTA--Georgia State's multi-talented athlete Albert Wilson has been honored for the second time this offseason by the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA), which tabbed him to its FCS Kickoff Returner/All-Purpose Award Watch List for 2012. Last month, Wilson was named to the CFPA's FCS Wide Receiver Award Watch List.

Wilson, a junior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., is GSU's career leader in all-purpose yards with 2,142, an average of 112.7 yards of receiving, rushing and returns per game.

In 2011, he ranked eighth in the nation in punt returns (11.9 per return), 20th in receiving yards (85.8 per game) and 29th in all-purpose yards (134.4 yards per game).

As a freshman in 2010, Wilson averaged 28.1 yards on 22 kickoff returns. His career average is 24.4 yards per return.

He made one of the top plays of Georgia State's inaugural season with his 97-yard kickoff for a touchdown at Alabama.

Wilson and the Panthers open the 2012 season by hosting South Carolina State on Thursday, Aug. 30 at the Georgia Dome. Season tickets are on sale now at 866-GA-STATE.
