ATLANTA (January 15) – Georgia State has announced that its Sunday women’s basketball game with James Madison at the GSU Sports Arena has been moved up two hours to start at Noon instead of the original 2 p.m. time.
The move to the Noon tip-off is to allow fans to get home in time to watch the Atlanta Falcons NFC Championship game that begins at 3:05 p.m. An average women’s basketball game runs an hour and 45 minutes, meaning the game should finish between 1:45 and 2 p.m.
This is the first time that the Falcons have ever played host to an NFC Championship game.
Georgia State (9-5) and James Madison (8-7) are both members of the Colonial Athletic Association.
The game will still be broadcast live on WRAS-FM (88.5) beginning with the Coach Sharon Baldwin-Tener show at 11:45 a.m.
