As a part of the 2013 Infiniti Coaches Charity Challenge, Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter and Minnesota head coach Tubby Smith filmed a commercial in October to help promote the event among 48 coaches.
The commercial debuted on ESPN last night before the Wisconsin-Ohio State game and will re-air on Feb. 6th, 19th and 26th.
Four different commercials were done featuring some of the top coaches in the country.
Hunter,
is proud to support Samaritan’s Feet by participating in Infiniti’s ongoing
partnership with the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the NCAA®
and ESPN in the “Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.” The program includes a $100,000 donation to
the winning coach’s designated charity. Expanding from 14 participating NABC coaches
last season to 48 of the nation’s top NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball coaches
this year, the total Infiniti contribution will be more than $300,000.
Fan participation will determine the ultimate winner over an
eight-week period beginning January 14th by registering and voting
on a custom microsite on www.espn.com/infiniti. For the first six weeks, four brackets of 12
coaches will be paired against each other, with the winners from each group
moving onto the next round. Fans can vote in the first round of action until
February 27th. Fans can vote for up to four coaches per day. After reaching the Final Four, the winning
coach will be announced March 11, 2013.
