ATLANTA -- First-year football coach Trent Miles will speak before Georgia State’s centennial year graduation ceremony on Saturday. More than 4,500 students will walk in the university’s largest ceremony, including more than 40 student-athletes.

“I’m honored to be given the opportunity to provide a few words of encouragement for the families as well as the younger graduates going into the real world for the first time and to those who have come back to earn a degree later in life,” Miles said.

Miles will speak at approximately 1:33 p.m. on Saturday on the same field where his Panthers will play this fall. Faculty will arrive for the commencement at the Georgia Dome at 1:30 p.m. and Miles will be first to address the crowd. He will be followed by other university officials before Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes offers the commencement address.
