ATLANTA – Two of Georgia State’s top returning players were recognized Friday with a Top-60 ITA Men’s Preseason Doubles Ranking. Senior Robert Schulze and junior Sofiane Chevallier were selected as No. 58 in the preseason rankings.

Last season, the pair had a 13-5 overall record and were a part of Georgia State’s Sun Belt Conference Championship win. The pair were 2-0 in the Sun Belt, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles and 2-2 at No. 3 doubles.

“This ranking is dating back to their outstanding season they played for us last year as a team,” head coach Joerg Barthel said. “They fit each other’s games very well and grew as a team throughout the course of last season. This is a well-deserved ranking and we are excited for them to be recognized nationally and bring our program on the map."

The pair can be seen in action Sept. 20-22 at the Georgia State Fall Invitational. The three-day tournament will feature Nebraska, Georgia Southern and South Alabama at the Sharon Lester Tennis Center at Piedmont Park.
