ATLANTA - Freshmen Jannis Koeke and Eric Baum lost to Georgia Tech in the semifinals of the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Consolation Draw.

The Panther pair fell to the Yellow Jacket's Casey Kay and Carlos Benito 8-5.

"We made strides in the second fall tournament, and the players started to realize where we want to be with our program in January," head coach Joerg Barthel said. "We as coaches feel good about the improvement, but we still need to continue to grind it out on the practice court more and learn what it takes to be in the top on a daily basis."

Next up for the Panthers is a trip Elon, N.C., for the Elon Invitational. The three-day tournament will begin Fri., Oct. 25. Georgia State will conclude the fall season with the Charleston Challenge beginning on Nov. 8.
