CHARLESTON, S.C. - Senior Thomas Cook needed three sets to overcome College of Charleston's Gordon Garrett, but for the second time this season, Cook prevailed in a final.

Cook defeated Garrett 6-7, 6-0, 6-1 Sunday morning. Cook also won the A1 singles draw at Elon this fall.

Jannis Koeke also picked up a win on the final day, defeating Virginia Tech's Rafael Ribas 6-2, 7-5

Valentin Horvat lost to College of Charleston's Matt Daly 6-7, 6-4, 6-2.

"I am pleased with how we finished the tournament after a struggle," head coach Joerg Barthel said. "We were able to elevate our game to a higher level and competed well. We will now get ready for our spring season and are excited for what is to come."

This concludes the fall season for Georgia State men's tennis. The Panthers will return in the spring to try and defend their Sun Belt Championship they won last season.
