ATLANTA - The No. 55 Georgia State women's tennis team will travel to New Orleans, La., this weekend to take on Tulane and Rice. The Panthers will face Tulane on Saturday at 1 p.m. and No. 26 Rice on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

The Panthers have won four of their last five matches, but were upset on Sunday by Winthrop. Georgia State will look to get back to its winning ways on this road trip.

Up first for the Panthers is Tulane. The Green Wave is 4-10 this season, earning wins over Southern Miss, Southeastern Louisiana, Xavier (La.) and St. John's. Senior Klara Vyskocilova is currently ranked No. 73 in the singles rankings. 

On Saturday, Georgia State will face its highest ranked opponent of the season, No. 26 Rice. The Owls are 7-5 overall and boast three nationally-ranked singles players: No. 60 Natalie Beazant, No. 85 Katherine Ip and No. 110 Dominique Harmath. The Owls also have a ranked doubles team in No. 67 Beazant and Liat Zimmermann. 

As for the Panthers, senior Abigail Tere-Apisah is ranked No. 12 in the nation in singles and No. 20 in doubles with junior Masa Grgan.

Including this weekend's matches, Georgia State only has six more matches before heading back to New Orleans for the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
