ATLANTA - Senior men's tennis player Robert Schulze was named the Sun Belt's men's tennis player of the Week Wednesday. Schulze went 3-0 in singles this past weekend, including clinching the win over S.C. State Saturday night.

Schulze, playing in his final three home matches of his career, went undefeated in his three singles matches at No. 2 singles. Schulze began the weekend with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Sten Leusink of DePaul.

On Saturday night, Schulze rallied to defeat Martin Kobza of S.C. State 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. His win clinched the 4-3 win for the Panthers. On Sunday, Schulze defeated Rodrigo Encinas, of No. 74 College of Charleston, 7-6, 6-0 to round out his perfect singles weekend.

Schulze will play in his final match of the regular season today, as he and the rest of the Panthers take on Georgia Southern at 3 p.m.

The team will travel to New Orleans, La., next week for the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
