What you need to know:
* Georgia State and Charlotte have agreed to a four-game home-and-home series beginning in 2020.
* The two programs will begin a previously scheduled two-game home-and-home series Sept. 4, 2015.
* Georgia State now has at least one game scheduled through the 2023 season.

ATLANTA – Continuing a philosophy to schedule opponents in the football-rich southeast, Georgia State announced Wednesday a four-game home-and-home series against Charlotte that will begin in 2020.

Georgia State will host the 49ers on Sept. 18, 2021 and Sept. 17, 2022, while make trips to Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 26, 2020 and Sept. 16, 2023.

The Panthers and 49ers begin an already scheduled two-game home-and-home series this fall with the teams meeting in the Georgia Dome on Sept. 4. Georgia State will travel to Charlotte on Sept. 9, 2017.

The games in 2022 and 2023 will mark the first non-conference games scheduled for each of those seasons.

The 2016 non-conference schedule is already complete with the Panthers hosting Ball State and UT Martin, while making trips to Air Force and Wisconsin.
