What you need to know:
* Georgia State and Army have agreed to a two-year home-and-home series beginning in 2021.
* This will mark the second Service Academy the Panthers have faced. Georgia State is currently in the middle of a series with Air Force that will conclude in 2016.
* Georgia State now has three games scheduled for the 2021 season and two already on the books for 2022.
ATLANTA – Georgia State and Army announced Wednesday a two-year home-and-home series in football that will begin in 2021. It will mark the second Service Academy the Panthers have faced in their young history.
Georgia State will host Army on Sept. 4, 2021, before making a trip to West Point, N.Y., on Oct. 1, 2022.
Army, a three-time national champion, has been playing football since 1890. The Panthers trip to New York will mark the first time playing a game in the state.
The Panthers have only one spot remaining on the schedule for the 2021 season with three games under contract and two remaining for 2022.
The 2016 non-conference schedule is already complete with the Panthers hosting Ball State and UT Martin, while making trips to Air Force and Wisconsin.
Georgia State will open the 2015 season facing Charlotte in the Georgia Dome on Sept. 4 at 3:30 p.m. Single game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by visiting GeorgiaStateSports.com or by calling 404-413-4020.
