ATLANTA – A day after announcing its first home and home series with a Southeastern Conference opponent, Georgia State has announced a future football home and home series with North Carolina, marking the first time the Panthers will host a school from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Panthers will travel to Chapel Hill on Sept. 11, 2021, with North Carolina returning to Atlanta the following season to play Georgia State on Sept. 10, 2022.

With the additions, Georgia State now has games scheduled through the 2025 season and the 2021 schedule is complete.

Last season, Georgia State won its final four regular season games and finished the 2016 season 6-7 record after making its first appearance in the AutoNation Cure Bowl, just six years after the inception of the program.

The 2016 and 2017 non-conference schedules are also complete. The Panthers will host Ball State and UT Martin in 2016, while making trips to Air Force and Wisconsin.

Georgia State announced a home and home series with Vanderbilt on Thursday. Those games are schedule for 2024 and 2025.
