Kayla Lee joined the Georgia State Student-Athlete Development team in January 2016 as a Life Skills Intern. She recently was moved to Assistant Academic Coordinator in August 2016, working with women’s track & field and both spirit squads. Lee was a graduate student in Georgia State’s Sports Administration program, receiving her degree in May 2016. She also served as the Community Relations Intern for USA Track & Field during the 2016 Olympic Games.
Prior to coming Georgia State, Lee received a Bachelor’s from the University of Florida in Sport Management. She served as a student manager for women’s basketball from 2009-2012, as well as track & field from 2013-2104. After graduating, Lee served as the Co-Director for the Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County-Mentor Center. There, she oversaw volunteer management for all of the clubs, as well as implementing community and recreation programming and partnerships.
A native of Daytona Beach, Fla., Lee has done a number of community events in the city. She is also a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletes (N4A).
