ATLANTA – Fans can officially start counting down the days to the opening football game in Georgia State Stadium history which will be played on Thursday, Aug. 31, when the Panthers host Tennessee State.

Season tickets can be purchased now for between $100 and $180 per seat. Fans who purchase their tickets before May 1 will be able to attend and select their seats in the new stadium in late spring/early summer. Seats will be allocated and selected by season tickets holders based upon Panther Athletic Club Priority Points.

For returning season ticket holders, renewal forms will be mailed later this month. PAC members will be able to access new premium seating areas available in Georgia State Stadium beginning this fall.

“We are excited to be able to open the new home of Georgia State football on Aug. 31,” Director of Athletics Charlie Cobb said. “We also look forward to our season ticket holders being able to get a first-hand glimpse of where they will sit later this year.”

Georgia State will play six games in Georgia State Stadium this fall. Along with the match-up against Tennessee State, the Panthers will also host Memphis on Sept. 30 in non-conference action.

The Panthers will host Appalachian State, Idaho, South Alabama and Troy as part of another exciting Sun Belt Conference schedule this fall. Dates for conference games will be announced March 1.
