CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars were announced earlier this week with five members of the Georgia State team earning recognition.
A total of 952 student-athletes across all levels of collegiate golf were honored, each having a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
“I am extremely proud of the work in the classroom that was accomplished by these five remarkable student-athletes this year,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “They define everything of what it means to be a student-athlete both on the course and in the classroom. I’m so pleased they could receive this honor.”
Gregson earned All-Sun Belt Second-Team honors for the second-straight season after helping the Panthers to a second-place finish at the conference championship in April. She has earned Dean’s List recognition in all four semesters at Georgia State.
Le Coz earned the honor for a third-straight year and graduated in May with a degree in accounting. In her eight semesters at GSU, she earned President’s List recognition five times, Dean’s List twice and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll once.
Bae also graduated in May with a degree in art. She was a five-time Athletic Director’s Honor Roll recipient, two times named to the Dean’s List and earned President’s List honors last spring.
Royer earned the honor for the first time after returning to the team this season following a redshirt year. She has also earned President’s List honors twice and is a two-time Dean’s List recipient.
Kaur, who just completed a remarkable freshman year, rounds out the group. As a freshman, she earned All-Sun Belt Second Team honors and finished second on the team in scoring average. She also led the team with six Top 25 finishes and a pair of Top 10 marks, to go along with earning fall Dean’s List honors and spring Athletic Director’s Honor Roll recognition.
The 2017-18 season will get underway Sept. 22-24 at the Lady Paladin Invitational. Practice is expected to get underway in late August.
