CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Georgia State women’s golf team was honored by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Wednesday as the Panthers finished 18th in the annual All-Scholar Team GPA Award.

Georgia State finished the year with an impressive 3.757 team GPA to once again be honored among the top 25 programs in the country.

“We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our student-athletes in the classroom,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “This team strives to be the best it can be both on and off the course and to be listed among the Top 25 teams in the country once again means a lot to our program.”

Earlier this month, recent graduates Solene LeCoz and Jooeun Bae, along with rising juniors Jemima Gregson and Emily Royer and rising sophomore Harmanprit Kaur all received individual honors from the WGCA.

Jacksonville University earned the 2016-17 WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award with its squad earning an average GPA of 3.924.

The 2017-18 season will get underway with practice in late August. The Panthers will open the season Sept. 22 at the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greenville, S.C.
