2015-16: Honored to the 2015-16 Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshmen Team…One of five players to compete in all 30 games for the 2015-16 season, making 17 starts, including the final 12 games of the season…Totaled four double-digit scoring games, helping the Owls win all four of those games…Averaged 4.5 points per game, which ranked first amongst all freshmen on the team…Also ranked first amongst freshmen on the roster, pulling down 5.2 rebounds per contest…Shot 57-147 (38.8 percent) overall from the field…Made 22-61 (36.1 percent) at the free throw line…Ranked second on the roster with 155 rebounds, pulling down 5.2 boards per game…Also ranked second on the team with 51 offensive rebounds…Totaled 24 assists, six blocks and 10 steals…Scored 12 points versus Western Carolina (11/28)…Grabbed nine rebounds against New Orleans (11/29)…Tallied 10 points at North Florida (1/16)…Registered her first career double-double against NJIT with 13 points and 10 rebounds (1/30)…Notched a career-high 16 points and a career-high 13 boards on the road at NJIT in a 2OT win (2/6).

PREP: Originally from Gijón, Spain, she moved to Norcross, Ga., in 2012 and has basketball in her blood as her father Ed was a talented basketball player in Spain and played collegiately at Tennessee State … The team captain for her Norcross High School team as a senior, Johnson led the Blue Devils to a 28-5 record as well as the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) class AAAAAA Region 7 championship and a state runner-up finish … During the state tournament, Johnson totaled three double-doubles in four tournament games, averaging 12.5 points and 10.3 rebounds in the playoffs … She has collected multiple honors during her high school career, including earning 2014 All-Region Honorable Mention honors as well as being named a 2015 Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) All-Metro Honoree and a Class 6A All-State Honorable Mention … She also picked up Gwinnett County Second-Team honors, as well as being selected to the Gwinnett Coaches Association All-Star Game and was a Gwinnett Country Senior All-Star participant.
