Volunteer Assistant Coach
Experience: 1st Year


Wesley Lutz began his first season as the volunteer assistant coach for the Georgia State women's soccer program in 2017, after having spent the last two years as an assistant on the Oglethorpe men's soccer staff.

In his first season with Oglethorpe, Lutz coached goalkeepr Vaughn Moore who posted a .67 GAA and was named SAA Conference Defensive POY. In 2017, Lutz mentored junior Luke Whelan who was named a 2nd-team All-SAA honoree. 

Before coaching at Oglethorpe, he also spent time with the Truett-McConnell woman’s soccer program and the Emory University men’s program serving as an assistant with both programs. In addition to his collegiate coaching responsibilities, Lutz serves as the academy director at SSA-Northside.

Lutz played collegiately at Truett-McConnell College and holds a USSF "C" coaching license, an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and the NSCAA Goalkeeping Level I & II Diploma. He received his B.A. in history from Georgia State University in 2014. In 2017, he received a Masters of College Athletic Administration from Coker College.
