ATLANTA- The Georgia State women’s soccer team will close out its non-conference schedule this weekend at home and away, traveling to Mercer on Friday and hosting Chattanooga on Sunday.

The Panthers are 1-3-1 this season, defeating Southeastern Louisiana 3-0 and tying Jacksonville State 0-0.

Senior Brie Haynes has allowed six goals for a 1.32 goals against the average and posted 22 saves for a .786 save percentage. Senior Suzanne Arafa and freshman Alex Addington lead the team in goals with two each. Junior Caitlin Ray and freshman Ashley Thomas have scored the other two goals for GSU.

Junior Monique Hundley leads the team with 16 shots, while Addington ranks second with 12.

Georgia State will face a 2-4 Mercer team, with the team riding a four-match losing streak. The Bears opened their schedule with 1-0 wins over Troy and Montevallo, but have dropped their last four matches.

Mercer and Georgia State have faced each other 25 times in series history, with the Panthers holding a 13-9-3 advantage. The last time the teams met was in 2014, with GSU earning a 1-0 victory.

Chattanooga enters the weekend at 1-3-2, dropping their last match. The Mocs’ lone win came in their season opener, defeating Austin Peay 3-2. This will be the first time the two teams have met.
