LAFAYETTE, La.- The Georgia State men’s tennis team competed in its second fall tournament this weekend at the Cajun Classic, with Sebastian Acuna and Jack MacFarlane winning the doubles back draw.

In the Flight One singles bracket, Andrei Andrukhou advanced to the semifinal round and fell to the No. 2 seeded Leonardo Telles of Texas 6-4, 6-4.

No. 1 seeded Acuna fell in the opening round of the Flight Two singles bracket and moved to the back draw, where he was defeated by Dominik Koenig OF Louisiana 7-6(2), 0-6, 1-0(8). Quentin Coulaud also fell in the opening round of the Flight Two singles bracket and advanced to the quarterfinals of the back draw.

MacFarlane advanced to the semifinals of the Flight Two singles bracket before falling 6-4, 7-6(5) to Nikola Samardzic of LSU.

In the doubles bracket, Andrukhou and Coulaud fell 6-3 in the Round of 16 to Artem Kapshuk and Connor Curry of Texas Tech. Acuna and MacFarlane won the back draw, defeating Colin Markes and John Mee on a walkover.

The team will return to the court on Oct. 6 in Macon, Ga. for the Mercer Invitational.
