COLUMBIA, SC- Georgia State beach volleyball continued their fall exhibition schedule with an event at South Carolina Saturday afternoon. UNCW joined the Panthers and the Gamecocks to round out the three-team field. GSU won nine matches on the day, while splitting eight and losing eight.
Two pairs made up of true freshman and graduate students stood out for the Panthers. The pairings of Annika Van Gunst and Eden Hawes, as well as Tiffany Creamer and Ashley Bauchert combined to win all twelve of their games. Chloe Cook and Kate Novack, and Teegan Van Gunst and Allie Elson both went 4-2 on the day.
“Today was so much fun”, said coach Beth Van Fleet. “It was fun to play new faces. We are starting to identify our own trends and patterns, and can now work in practices to address them and grow. Huge thanks to South Carolina for hosting and UNCW for making the trip.”
Georgia State will have at least one more fall event this season. The Panthers will participate in the Rally tournament in Emerson, Georgia on November 4th.
