*Georgia State beach volleyball wrapped up their fall schedule Saturday with matches against LSU, South Carolina and UAB.
*GSU won 64% of their matches, best in the tournament.
*The Panthers will open up spring play on February 23rd in Deland, Florida.
EMERSON, GA- Georgia State beach volleyball concluded the fall portion of their schedule Saturday at the Collegiate Beach Bash hosted by LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. The Panthers battled in the sand with LSU, South Carolina, and UAB; all three are CCSA rivals.
Sixteen Panthers participated in the event, and all eight pairs played two games against four different opponents. Tiffany Creamer and Teegan Van Gunst led GSU with a 7-1 record on the day. Georgia Johnson and Olivia Stasevich went 6-2 on the day, and five other GSU pairs had winning records in the tournament.
The Panthers finished the event with a 64.1 winning percentage, best in the field. LSU finished just behind GSU with a 54.7 winning percentage, followed by South Carolina (50.0) and UAB (12.5)
Georgia State will face each of Saturday’s opponents throughout the course of the spring season. The Panthers are scheduled to attend a tournament hosted by South Carolina in late March, and travel to Baton Rouge on April 14th. GSU will open the spring season in Deland, Florida for a two-day tournament beginning on February 23rd.
