ATLANTA – Georgia State’s women’s basketball team fell 70-69 Saturday in an exciting regular-season finale against South Alabama.
Shaq Miller-McCray recorded her first career double-double, finishing with career-high 14 points and 10 rebounds. Miller-McCray also recorded five blocks. Kierra Henry reached 20 points for the second straight game, totaling 21 on Saturday against the Jaguars.
GSU shot 40% from the field and held
The Jaguars built a 14-point lead in the second quarter and the Panthers would spend the remainder of the game trying to catch
After trailing by nine at the half, GSU went on an 8-0 run in the third quarter and outscored the Jags 23-19 in the period.

Georgia State moved the ball around as the clock ran down, but
Georgia State has a quick turnaround as the Panthers will play Coastal Carolina Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET in the first round of the Sun Belt Championships in New Orleans.
