■ Georgia State hosts Presbyterian Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.
■ The Panthers have won five straight and are off to a perfect 6-0 start at home. It’s the best home start since GSU since the Panthers started 10-0 in 2015.
Ivie Drake leads the Sun Belt in batting average, doubles, on-base %, RBI, slugging %, total bases and is the toughest to strike out. Drake is second in hits and fifth in triples per game.
Reagan Morgan has the fifth most hits in the Sun Belt followed by Remington Hasty who ranks seventh.
■ As a team, Georgia State ranks second in the Sun Belt in batting average, doubles per game, fielding %, scoring and slugging %.
Reagan Morgan was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week on March 6 after hitting .857 with one home run, four RBI and eight runs scored. She was also honored at the College Sports Madness Sun Belt Player of the Week.
■ In GSU’s home opener on Feb. 14, GSU defeated Georgia Tech 5-2. Kinsley Jennings allowed just two runs and struck out seven to earn the complete-game victory.
■ Freshman Skylar Mosel made her collegiate debut against #2 Florida and finished the Wilson DeMarini Classic with six RBI. Mosel drove in five runs in GSU’s win over UAB. She hit her first career HR against Delaware on Feb. 16.
Megan Litumbe and Ivie Drake have hit a combined 106 career home runs, more than any other active pair of teammates in NCAA Division I.
■ Megan Litumbe ranks fifth among active players in NCAA Division I with 56 career home runs. Ivie Drake’s 50 home runs rank sixth.
■ Georgia State was picked to finish third in the Sun Belt Conference in the preseason coaches’ poll. The Panthers were picked to finish behind just Texas State and Louisiana.
■ The Panthers had two players named to the preseason All-Sun Belt squad in redshirt senior Megan Litumbe and senior Ivie Drake.
■ Head coach Roger Kincaid enters his eighth season as head coach for the Panthers. Kincaid has a career record of 259-175. GSU has won at least 30 games each season that Kincaid has been head coach.
■ All 20 players on GSU’s active roster this season are from the state of Georgia.
■ The Panthers will play 25 home contests in 2018. Texas State and Louisiana, the only two teams picked ahead of GSU in the preseason Sun Belt poll, will both visit the Bob Heck Softball Complex during Sun Belt play this year.
