ATLANTA- Georgia State women’s tennis continues their Texas trip with two upcoming weekday matches. GSU will take on Sun Belt rival UT Arlington Tuesday afternoon before heading to North Texas for a Thursday matchup with the Mean Green.

The two weekday tilts will be matches three and four of a six-match Spring Break for Jason Marshall’s team. The matches will also be the last of a four-game stint in the Lonestar State. GSU is 1-1 on the road trip thus far, having defeated No. 31 Kansas State and losing to SMU over the weekend.

Georgia State will face a pair of familiar opponents this week in UT Arlington and North Texas. GSU defeated the Mean Green last March in Denton 4-3 and split a pair of 2017 matches with the Mavericks. The Panthers fell to Arlington on the road last year but earned a 4-3 win over the Mavs in the Sun Belt tournament.

Senior Kristin Rehse and freshman Elizabet Danailova have produced singles wins in the one and two flights respectively in each of the last two matches. Rehse leads the Panthers with a 10-4 singles record on the year, with eight of her wins coming in the number one position. Danailova has put together a 4-3 record playing in the number two slot.

Damira Muminović and Daniela Ramirez both hold 7-5 singles records on the year. Muminović is 5-2 this year when playing in the four flight and clinched the match for the Panthers over No. 31 Kansas State last Saturday. Ramirez has seen success in the two position with a 3-0 record playing on the second line.
