*The Panthers are now 20-10 on the season and 7-7 in CCSA play.
*GSU will look to turn things around with two duals tomorrow.
Baton Rouge- GSU beach volleyball dropped a pair of duals to ranked CCSA opponents on Saturday. The No. 11 Panthers fell 5-0 to No. 7 Florida State and 4-1 to No. 8 LSU.
Georgia State was originally scheduled to take on FSU at noon, but lightning in the area delayed the dual for over three hours. An hour long delay due to more lightning interrupted play early in the dual. When the weather cleared Florida State took a 5-0 win.
In the nightcap, the number two pair of Brooke Weiner and Tiffany Creamer picked up a three-set win for GSU. Amie Held and Kate Novack and Teegan and Annika Van Gunst would both force third games in their matches, but both pairs would fall to the Tigers as LSU took the dual 4-1.
Georgia State finishes the CCSA portion of the schedule with a 7-7 conference record. The Panthers finish 2-1 against LSU and 0-2 against Florida State, with the possibility of seeing both teams again at next weekend’s CCSA Tournament.
It will be a short turn around for the Panthers who begin day two of the Battle on the Bayou with a 10:00 a.m. match against New Orleans on Sunday morning. GSU will cap off the regular season against TCU at 1:00 p.m.
