ATLANTA- The Georgia State women’s soccer team earned a 3.56 GPA for the 2018 spring semester, up from a 3.50 GPA from the fall semester. Of the 28 student-athletes on the roster, 21 were named to an academic honor roll.
Georgia State's AD Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with a GPA between 3.0-3.49. The Dean's List is for student-athletes which earn a 3.5-3.99 GPA and the President's List is for student-athletes who receive a 4.0 or above.
The Panthers had four players named to the AD Honor Roll, 10 named to the Dean’s List, and seven named to the President’s List. Senior Kylie Ruffule had the highest GPA on the team at the end of her coursework, earning a 4.21 cumulative GPA and being the 2018 Kell Award recipient for the student with the highest GPA in the graduating class.
Georgia State student-athletes achieved a 3.14 grade point average for the spring 2018 semester, with 196 individuals earning academic honors, including 42 Panthers on the President’s List.
The 3.14 grade point average marks the 20th consecutive semester, dating back to 2008, that the Panthers have maintained a GPA (semester or cumulative) of 3.0 or higher.
Eight Georgia State programs earned a team GPA of 3.4 or higher for the spring, led by the women’s tennis team at 3.81 and women’s cross country at 3.80. Other top performing teams include beach volleyball (3.68), women’s golf (3.66), court volleyball (3.62), women’s soccer (3.56), women’s track and field (3.45) and men’s golf (3.40).
Forty-two student-athletes achieved President’s List status, Georgia State’s highest academic distinction signifying a semester GPA of 4.0 or higher.
Eighty-one individuals reached Dean’s List status with a semester GPA of 3.5-3.99, and another 73 student-athletes made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll with a 3.0 or higher.
