ATLANTA -- Georgia State runners Lotte Meyberg and Angela Alonso were named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women’s Track/Cross Country Team, announced Tuesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Both are now eligible for the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Women’s Track/Cross Country Team, which will be announced in June.

Meyberg, a sophomore from Buettelborn, Germany, maintains a 4.22 grade-point average while majoring in nutrition.

Alonso, a sophomore from Valladolid, Spain, is a political science major with a 4.00 GPA.

Both student-athletes compete in cross country as well as middle distance events in track and field.

Meyberg earned All-Sun Belt Conference honors in cross country last fall. On the track this spring, she posted the Panthers' top time in the steeplechase.

A 2016 All-Sun Belt performer in cross country, Alonso added all-conference honors in outdoor track in 2018 with a runner-up finish in the 1,500 meters.

These two selections give Georgia State a school-record 15 Google Cloud Academic All-District® honorees in seven different sports in 2017-18.
