ATLANTA – Georgia State women’s golf coach Cathy Mant announced the team’s four-tournament fall schedule on Friday which will take the Panthers across four different states in September and October.

The fall season opens Sept. 15-17 at the USA Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove Crossings in Mobile, Ala. It will be Georgia State’s second trip to the event in three years coming off a fifth-place finish in 2016.

Later that week the squad will head to Greenville, S.C., for the Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Course. It will mark the fifth time in the last six years competing in the event.

The Panthers will return to the Pinehurst Challenge for a third-straight year Oct. 8-9, before heading to Florida to close the fall at the FIU Pat Bradley Classic at Lakewood Ranch Golf Club for the fourth-straight year.

“We really like the fall schedule that we have put together,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “We are going to have several newcomers who could make the line-up this fall and we wanted to give ourselves the best chance to be successful early on. We also have some returners who know these courses well and hopefully we can use that experience to our benefit.”

The Panthers finished the 2017-18 season by placing tied for fifth at the Sun Belt Championship. Georgia State is looking to make a seventh NCAA Regional appearance in Mant’s 19th-year as head coach.

Georgia State returns three starters from last year and has already signed three international freshmen for the upcoming year. Practice will begin after student-athletes return to Georgia State in late August.
