CLINTON, S.C. – The Georgia State women’s soccer team ended its preseason schedule on a high note, knocking off Presbyterian College 2-0 in Sunday afternoon’s exhibition at Martin Stadium. The two teams competed for three 30-minute periods, allowing coaches to test different lineups and provide meaningful minutes to all players.
Alex Addington got the Panthers on the board first, scoring from about eight yards out off a cross from senior Caitlin Ray in the 21st minute of the first period. Georgia State went ahead 2-0 with just under three minutes to play in the third when a cross from Monique Hundley connected with Anna Remensnyder who headed it in for the goal.
Georgia State kicks off the regular season 7 p.m. Friday vs. Tennessee Tech at the GSU Soccer Complex. All home matches at the GSU Soccer Complex will be free admission and parking for fans.
