What you need to know:

*Georgia State lost 3-0 to Furman on Saturday afternoon.

*Kinkaid Padgett reached teh double-digit dig mark for the third consecutive match.

*Morgan Hash led the Panther offense with 10 kills hitting .333.

Georgia State fell 3-0 to Furman in the final match of the Rambler Challenge Saturday afternoon. GSU was winless in three tries over the weekend and is now 2-4 on the season.

The Panthers trailed for the majority of the first set, would rattle off five consecutive points to tie the score at 19 late in the frame. However, back to back kills from Furman would give the Paladins a 25-22 first set win. Despite losing the set, GSU put up great offensive numbers including a .321 hitting percentage.

Georgia State would get out to an early 5-4 lead in the second set, but Furman would go on a 10-0 scoring run to take a commanding lead. GSU would answer with a 5-0 run of their own before ultimately falling in the set 25-16.

Furman led all the way in the third set, taking the game 25-15 and the match 3-0. Morgan Hash hit the double-digit kill mark for the third time this season with 10 on a .333 hitting percentage. Kinkaid Padgett finished the match with 12 digs. The sophomore had at least 10 digs in all three matches this weekend.

Next weekend the Panthers will host the Georgia State Invitational at the GSU Sports Arena. The Panthers will welcome in Sam Houston State, Chicago State, and Ole Miss for the team’s first home action of the season. All matches will be live streamed on Panther Vision.
