ATLANTA – Three student-athletes from Georgia State men’s tennis travel to Birmingham, Ala., this weekend to compete in the ITF Tennis Pro Circuit Futures.

Representing the Panthers will be Quentin Coulaud, Roberts Grinvalds and Giles Hussey. The trio enters the tournament off a successful weekend in the ITA Southeast Regional, where the three helped guide GSU to its third winning record in four fall tournaments.

Grinvalds will be the first to take the court, as the freshman from Bigaunciems, Latvia, takes on Fernando Vargos in the opening round of the Singles Qualifying Draw at 12:30 p.m. Friday. Grinvalds will look to build off a 5-3 record this fall.

Coulaud and Hussey both begin their first-round matchup in the Singles Qualifying Draw at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Coulaud faces Jordi Redelijk while Hussey squares off against Thomas Macleod. The duo will aim to improve their fall records after combining to go 7-6 after two fall tournaments.

The tournament begins with the Singles Qualifying Draw Friday-Monday and concludes with the Singles Main Draw running from Oct. 30-Nov. 4.
